Possession of something tangible or intangible comes in two ways: 1. acquiring by self; or 2. given to you by someone. Death is inevitable. Life is possible. The two are intangible possessions we never asked for, hence there is not true entitlement to it. What we determine to do with the time between them is questionable.
Time is inescapable, thus cannot be avoided. What do you do with something in your possession, that you are not entitled to and you never asked for? Do you re-gift it?
Re-gifting is not necessarily a bad thing, although low-budget and cost-cutting, in the end you have given to someone that didn't have what you have given to them. It is now up to the receiver of the gift to determine what to do with it.
We never asked for time, yet it is in our possession. Since we possess time, it is up to us to decide how to use it. If thrown away, there is a negative reflection on our lives. If used wisely, there is a positive reflection on our lives. To the reflector of your life, have you decided what they will see?
I encourage us all to leave a legacy that will be a positive reflection on how your time was spent... how you used a gift given to you by someone you may not even know... and how you used a gift you didn't ask for nor was entitled to.
Yes, I am the inescapable, the irresistible,
The unnegotiable, the unchallenged [who dat?]
I am time
I scroll in measurements, control the elements,
I hold the evidence, I tell the story [say what?]
I am time
I know no prejudice, I bare no sentiments
For wealth or settlement, I move forward [who you?]
I am time
You can't recover me, conceal or smuggle me,
Retreat or run from me, crawl up or under me,
You can't do much for me besides serve
Me well and have good dividends returned to you
Or attempt to kill me off and have me murder you
Many have wasted me but now they are facing me,
Treated me unfaithfully and now endure me painfully
Plaintively, I wait to see what history will shape to be,
Whos hearts will never die inside the sake of me
Angel's scribe the page for me,
Keep a full account of all the names for me
And make a special mark for Hurricane who waited patiently

When the air gets thin... let your body adapt
Climbing up a mountain, can cause your ears to pop. You'll notice the air getting thin which makes breathing to become somewhat difficult.
Liken the act of climbing a mountain to God taking you to the next level in your life. On the way to the top, there will be struggles, and you may even need to let go of some baggage to lighten your load. Do what you can to make the climb easier by motivating yourself, letting go of poor influences, nourishing your body, and hydrating your soul.
When you finally arrive to the top, the air will be thinner than what you are used to. Breathing gets difficult... but don't worry -- the body can naturally acclimate and get stronger. You just have to allow it to do so.
Get used to the level God put you in. Not everyone can make the trek that you made. That's why you had to let them go to lighten your load. You are the one chosen to go to this level in your life. Live in it. Look into the distance -- see where you are going. Then look where you came from -- never go back.
Start breathing deep, use the power within in you to climb your hills and mountains. Rest assured, the payoff at the top - your next level - will be yours for the taking. God wants to promote you. Take the limits off of Him and allow Him to do with you want He wants. In the end, you will be stronger, and God will receive the Glory.
